= Adventurer's Guild //"Fortune and glory, kid. Fortune and glory."// You stand in the great common hall of the Adventurer’s Guild of Mossworld, a cavernous chamber of smoke-blackened stone and age-darkened oak that has welcomed (and buried) generations of the bold, the desperate, and the merely foolish. High above, heavy beams vanish into shadow; from them hang the tattered banners of long-disbanded companies and the preserved skulls of beasts that should have stayed in legend. A massive hearth dominates the north wall, its fire crackling beneath a blackened dragon’s tooth the length of a man’s arm. The air is thick with the smell of wet wool, oiled leather, spilled ale, and the faint metallic bite of blood that never quite scrubs out of the flagstones. Long trestle tables groan under the weight of maps, empty mugs, and the occasional sleeping adventurer still wearing road dust. Warriors in dented plate argue with robed mages over the proper way to split a dragon’s hoard. A pair of elven rangers quietly sharpen arrows while a half-orc mercenary loudly recounts how he “only lost the one finger, and the troll looked worse.” In the center of the east wall looms the Quest Board, a massive slab of wood so covered in curling parchment that it looks like it might take flight. Fresh notices promise gold and glory; older, yellowed ones promise only that someone, somewhere, is still waiting to be avenged. Behind a scarred desk near the entrance, half-hidden in pipe smoke, sits a fixture older than most of the trophies on the walls. ---- The **Quest Board** still takes callers. Step up to it and **get quest** (also **take quest**) to pull a notice at random — a rumor, a lead, a warning. Some are true and worth chasing; some are the kind of tavern talk that gets fools killed. Telling which from which is the job. //(Staff.)// Post a notice with **addquest true|false //message//** and clear one with **remquest //id//** — both while standing at a board. **listquest** (admin) lists every posted quest with its id and true/false tag, from anywhere. That **true/false** is only an internal pool marker — players never see it, and **get quest** draws from both pools at random.
